Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Thursday gave its stamp of approval to the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB)'s decision to allow investments worth Rs1.82 lakh crore across the State. The Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan accorded clearance to the establishment of a mega refinery and petrochemical complex with an investment of Rs.90,000 crore at Ramayapatnam in Nellore.

The project for conducting required studies was approved by the BPCL board recently. The Cabinet cleared the proposed green ammonia plant at Kakinada and solar power plants in Nandyal, Kadapa and Kurnool districts. Additional works worth Rs2,733 crore for building capital at Amaravati in addition to the sanctions given by the 44th CRDA meeting were also approved by the Cabinet. The meeting unanimously decided to expand ESI hospital at Tirupati to 100 beds and build a new hospital with 100 beds in Prathipadu of Guntur district.

Clean Energy Policy

In another development, while releasing 2025 diaries and calendars published by AP Genco and AP Transco, Energy Minister Gotipatti Ravi Kumar said the Clean Energy Policy will bring an investment of Rs10 lakh crore. He told a meeting here that the policy is aimed at creating an employment for 7.5 lakh people.
